    [OC] Male Experience on Hinge for 6 Months


    I mapped out the last 6 months of my dating life using a Sankey diagram.

    It shows how things flowed from matches → conversations → dates → outcomes.

    Quick definition: Dating = gone on more than 3 dates, not that we’re bf/gf

    I put it together mostly because I ended up enjoying the process more than I expected! I decided to really invest in dating and putting myself out there this past year. I met a ton of new people and made a lot of memories! Felt like a fun way to look back at everything so far, and to show others that the apps do in fact still work!

      This is WAY better results than we usually see for guys in dating apps. So now I am really curious about this guys location, age, height, weight, job etc.

      Matches my experience on the ratio between matches and first dates actually…thats kind of interesting considering I was mostly aiming for long term relationship too.

      Looks like its true about that advice that you cant just twiddle your thumbs over every match you get because its highly likely most matches will not pan out into a date.

      So you went on 38+ dates in 6 months with 18 different women? Thats more than 1.5 dates a week. And you are currently dating 2 people, who you’ve gone on 4+ dates with and still haven’t made a decision? I think you might be the problem bro

      Lots of people are asking you to define dating (which you did) but can you define ghosting? As in, are all these people just disappearing without saying anything or are some saying “no thanks” and you’re calling it a ghost?

      If you’re going on dates with someone, but you’ve never talked about becoming exclusive, then you can date whomever you want on the side.

      This shows it’s worked for most people for a long, long time.

      I’ve not had 18 first dates in my whole life.

      As a guy, Hinge has been far and away the best app for me getting dates. Its very weird how much better it works for me than the other apps.
