TOWAMENCIN – Following an overspending in the current North Penn High School renovations, North Penn has announced an official partnership with multiple prevalent energy drink companies. The district plans to replace all vending machines with energy drink-exclusives versions, along with a minor adjustment to water fountains to allow them to dispense the beverages.

In works with Red Bull, Monster, and most prevalently, Ghost, the district has ordered twenty five state of the art vending machines to replace the existing units in the Cafeteria and Sports Lobby. Additional machines with be installed by the main entrance, select classrooms, and according to district officials, “strategically chosen” bathrooms.

The machines will not follow the same schedule as the current ones that open at 2:00 PM, but will remain open for all 24 hours of the day, providing what administrators describe as “instant academic fuel at any moment of need.”

North Penn’s Head of Participation, Dr. Reed Bullerman also confirmed that the district is in works with Celsius, Alani and 5 -Hour-Energy to bring them into the machines rotation.

“It’s been a long process, but we’re looking forward to finally being able to offer our students some of the best fuel for their bodies as we can,” Bullerman shared.

Ghost has been looking for opportunities to spread their brand, and with the recent purchase of the name rights to Harry the K’s at Citizens Bank Park, they jumped at the opportunity to be the number one drink at North Penn.

The power move, being implemented as soon as possible, comes at a pivotal time in the depths of the 3rd making period lull. The district has reported an all time high in minutes slept per class and in turn, an extreme drop in student participation.

“I can’t wait to get an extra twenty minutes of sleep every day because I won’t have to buy my daily energy drink from Wawa,” an anonymous caffeine addict said.

Recent studies from the National institute for Academic Hydration Studies (NIAHS) show that 95% of students prefer any type of energy drink as opposed to water, ushering in a new era of hydration into North Penn. All water fountains will have a switch on the right-hand side to be able to switch back and forth between the liquids, with data collection continuing to best utilize the resources.

The machines are set to begin to be integrated starting April 2, 2026. Stay on the lookout for North Penn’s newest energy initiative.
