He was one of the key on-court leaders in a return to form for Spain Park, leading the Jags to an Elite Eight run following a second-place finish in Class 6A, Area 8. Spain Park finished the year with a 23-14 record, the highest win total since the 2022-23 Class 7A Final Four squad, while taking on a challenging schedule of 7A and out-of-state powers.
Individually, Morrison received his second-straight selection to the All-County Team and his first pick to the All-County First Team. He was one of two selections to the First, Second and Third Team alongside senior Josh Wilkerson.
Morrison was the lone selection from Shelby County on either the boys or girls teams, which contains some of the best rising seniors in Alabama. A full roster can be found on AHSAA.com .
The North All-Stars will be coached by Tuscaloosa County’s Curt Weeks, fresh off a Class 7A state championship, and Hubbertville’s Caleb Hynds. St. John Paul II’s Tim Miller will serve as the administrative coach.
The North-South All-Star basketball game will take place during the AHSAA’s summer conference in Montgomery in the week of July 20-24 alongside North-South games for volleyball, baseball, softball, soccer, cross-country, tennis and golf.
An exact date and location have yet to be announced, but previous editions took place at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex.
