Discover the meditative craft of Ukrainian pysanka and make your own decorated egg. Spaces are limited and registration is available online.

On Sunday, April 5, 2026, residents and visitors of the Latvian capital are invited to join a master class in Ukrainian egg decorating, to be held at the Āgenskalns Market in Riga.

The event was announced by the Ukrainian House in Latvia on Facebook.

During the event, guests will be able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of pre-Easter preparations and master the ancient technique of decorating pysanky, preserving centuries-old traditions.

The workshop program includes creating your own pysanka, acquainting yourself with the history and meaning of traditional images, and creating a creative, entertaining, and meditative atmosphere for adults and children.

The events will run from 11:00 to 16:00 in Riga at the Āgenskalns Market; participation costs 10 euros, all materials included. Registration is available online in advance. Such master classes give city visitors the opportunity to get a closer look at the Ukrainian pysanky tradition.
