Turkey dictatorship is doing this for children of course LOL

How in democratic country can someone be for this is beyond my mind. Looking how fast democracy can be turned into dictatorship. This is wery worrying that a lot of people buying this lie about children. This is jus a combo of corporations and governments way to reduce our freedom and personalize advertisements. In US they doing this to personalize the prize of things. This is sick.

  2. I always like to think about the fact that you can do online age verification completely anonymous and data-safe. There’s no need for ever registering or even showing your ID online (or even electronically in any form). They specifically choose to not do that

… and if you don’t agree with the government you suddenly can not access media anymore

  4. Don’t worry we will see it in the majority of countries sooner than later for “security” reasons.

I knew this would come though, I remember trying one Chinese app similar to instagram and they were asking for ID verification if you were Chinese so…

This is an opportunity to delete all social media. I would never share my id with these apps

  6. It’s been nice fighting every single one of you in random posts or even on someone else post. What a ride people from bb forums to this. Witness me !

It looks like free communication on the internet will soon become a thing of the past. Everywhere, the state and officials are striving to take control and censor communication between people.

Already now, it’s difficult to express your opinion without being subjected to a massive bot attack, or simply having your post removed for no reason, or because of a free interpretation of vaguely worded rules.

    Why is this being done?

Probably so that people know less about cases like Epstein’s, or about the cannibalistic backroom concessions one politician makes to another, or simply to cover up incompetence and corruption.

It’s just so convenient to cite a violation of state interests or some act that lists only what you’re allowed to announce- namely, that you’ve died. /s

Social media have turned into a shithole. So every country seeks to regulate them.

Autocracies of course have other agendas. But social media have become so shit that leaving them as they are is not an option

Let me translate. I’m fluent in political BS. “I want to know who the guy with the Jojos profile picture that criticized my policies on Twitter is.”

This may be controversial, but I think it’s a positive idea. It could reduce the number of bots and make it easier for people to interact with real individuals, rather than navigating a social media environment dominated by AI-generated or automated content. Over time, that could lead to more authentic conversations and a clearer sense of what people genuinely think.
