Armenophobia comes from USSR. Older generation is very Armeniophobic which is actually very weird since USSR was technically a one country and in theory Armenians and Georgians should have been more connected. In my generation (post 2000) i don’t see a lot of Armeniophobes, but then again maybe it’s just my social bubble.

It’s true, I agree. I also wish some people could tell difference between Armenian-influenced history and Armenian history

Unfortunately, Armenian historians often deny Georgian role, for example, they often deny that Armenia was part of Georgia in 12th, 13th, 14th centuries, despite the fact that Davit Aghmashebeli had mercy and liberated them from Seljuks when Armenian elders asked flr help in 1124, Armenian historians claim that Armenia was separate during these years and call it “Zakarid Armenia”, they try to claim Mkhargrdzelis as if they were not loyal generals of Georgian kings, but as if they were separatists and restored “independent Armenia”. They also spread anti-Georgian narratives about Armenian-Georgian war of 1918 and Abkhazian war in 1993, trying to claim that Armenians sided with separatists and Russia because of “Georgian aggression”, which is just a lie. Illia Chavchavadze, one of the biggest Georgian figures in history, wrote extensively about this kind of Armenian falsification of Georgian-related history in his book “Kvata Ghaghadi”
