Ankara, April 5 (SANA) Türkiye has denied reports that a U.S. F-15 fighter jet was shot down in Iran using a Turkish-made air defense system, calling the claims baseless and misleading.
According to Anadolu Agency, the Presidency’s Center for Countering Disinformation said “the allegations circulating online aim to distort facts and undermine Türkiye’s diplomatic role in regional stability.”
The statement reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to peace and warned against disinformation campaigns targeting its international standing.
Some reports had claimed that Ankara supplied Iran with advanced missile systems used in the alleged incident.
U.S. media, meanwhile, reported that the two pilots were rescued following the incident, while U.S. President Donald Trump later confirmed the rescue of a second pilot.
