It’s a shitty crime perpetrated by meth heads, but at the same time, who the fuck needs a $5-6 figure handbag to keep their phone and tampons in?

  2. Retail value in the hundreds of thousands, actual production cost price of all products stolen was probably in the range of $2000-$3000

  3. As a Melburnian, I can’t believe this has happened when you have a conservative government. Who do you blame?!

As if Brisbane could have something classy as Hermes and expect this not to happen with how lawless the state is

Watch out for all the local Cash Converters suddenly having a load of designer gear available.

  6. It might be an insurance job, I’ve heard that no one’s buying anymore 🤷‍♀️

Cops should be watching all the shipping containers heading to China, Africa and the UAE now.

As well as this car that did the ram raid will be stripped out and scrapped. Or cut up and sent over

Stupid thing to steal. Without receipts and authenticity certificates (which are generated at time of sale) it’s a bunch of over priced leather that people will just say is a knock off.

You can’t resell at market value without papers, and counterfeits look identical anyway, so the value is in the receipts because like all veblen goods the value is in status not the actual goods…

  9. Fuck yes. Bring back the Victoria Police Subaru wrx in manual for the anti ram-raid squad. Peak early 2000s achieved.
