Doha, April 6 (SANA) Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani discussed in a phone call on Monday with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre the ongoing military escalation in the region and its serious implications for regional and international security.
According to Qatar News Agency, the minister stressed the need to halt what he described as unjustified Iranian attacks on Qatar and other countries, warning of the risks posed by targeting vital infrastructure, particularly facilities linked to water, food and energy.
He also called for enhanced coordination, intensified joint efforts and a return to dialogue, emphasizing the importance of resolving the crisis through diplomacy to safeguard global energy security, freedom of navigation and environmental safety, and to maintain regional stability.
Last Thursday, the Qatari foreign minister held a similar call with his German counterpart Johann Wadephul to discuss the repercussions of the escalation and ways to resolve disputes through peaceful means.
