Nebraska men’s gymnastics had four top-three finishes at the 2026 Big Ten Championships at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4.
Junior Max Odden won the all-around title on the first day, propelling Nebraska to a second-place finish behind Michigan. Ten total gymnasts qualified for the championships in rings, parallel bars, floor, vault, pommel horse and high bars.
Senior Asher Cohen took first in the rings finals with a 14.125, narrowly beating Michigan’s Akshay Puri and Penn State’s Matthew Underhill by .05 points. Freshman Sam Rakita placed fourth (14.075) and Odden ninth (12.650).
In P-Bar, senior Nathan York and sophomore Caden Clinton took first and second. York cleared the competition, scoring a 14.275. Clinton was close behind with 13.575.
Senior Luke James snagged third in floor (13.675), narrowly behind Ohio State’s Chase Davenport-Mills (13.825) and Jacob Harmon (13.750).
James also placed third in vault (14.000), .150 away from the title. Junior Chase Mondi placed seventh with a 13.425.
In pommel horse, Clinton and freshman Wyatt Reynolds placed fifth and sixth with a 13.775 and 13.700, respectively. Sophomore Nik Tarca tied for ninth with a 12.850.
In the high bar, junior Alex Nitache placed seventh with a 12.450 and Odden tenth with an 11.300.
The Huskers had five All-Big Ten performers: Cohen, Odden and York received first-team honors, and Clinton and James received second-team honors.
Nebraska will travel to Champaign, Illinois, for the NCAA Gymnastics Championships on April 17-18. The qualifying portion of the meet will be streamed on ESPN+, while the finals will air on ESPN2.
