Patria has delivered a full mission simulator for the Patria Armored Modular Vehicle (AMV) platform to the Slovak Armed Forces.

Supplied in partnership with Slovak firms Virtual Reality Media and Konštrukta Defence, the system replicates the functions of the Patria AMV XP 8×8 infantry fighting vehicle, enabling crews to train across a range of operational scenarios in a controlled environment.

It supports both individual and collective training, with scenarios that can be repeated and adjusted to reflect different mission conditions.

This enables operators to rehearse procedures and coordination without relying on physical vehicles, reducing costs, limiting equipment wear, and supporting more frequent training cycles.

“Patria AMV Full Mission Simulator strengthens the mission readiness of the Slovak Armed Forces and reaffirms Patria’s commitment to delivering training solutions that drive performance, minimise risk, and maximise the effectiveness of military training resources,” the company said.

The delivery builds on a 2022 agreement under which Bratislava signed a 447-million-euro ($447-million) contract with Patria for 76 AMV XP armored vehicles.

    Latest Initiatives

Since the beginning of the year, Patria has expanded its activities across several European defense programs, covering land systems support, vehicle deliveries, and military aviation.

In Latvia, the Finnish firm signed a lifecycle support agreement covering the Common Armored Vehicle System 6×6 fleet, focusing on maintenance and long-term sustainment.

In Germany, Patria delivered the first batch of its 6×6 armored vehicles, marking an initial step in Berlin’s efforts to modernize its protected mobility capabilities.

The company has also entered the aviation sector through an agreement with Pratt & Whitney to support Finland’s incoming F-35 fleet.

Under the deal, Patria will carry out the initial assembly of F135 engines in Finland, with responsibilities expected to expand to maintenance and repair over time.
