Perhaps an ant colony that’s sucking water. Poor ants. Perhaps there’s an old burrow from a burrowing animal that is long abandoned, and is now a swimming pool. Yay property values. Perhaps there’s a tiny man in there that’s farting. Get really close and see if it smells! If so, you got a farter. Whatever you do though, don’t stick your finger in the hole without proper protection. Could be a anything.
