While doing some spring cleaning I collected some food and drinks that are beyond their best before date, but a lot still looks absolutely edible. Usually I would (hate to say it) throw it away, but some weeks ago I saw someone asking for free food that even might be expired because he or she didn’t have any money currently.
So I put all stuff in a box that is expired max 1 year and looks good to me and I would like to give it to someone. But most locations only take this or that but not these and so I would like to know:
Do you know where I can bring any leftovers and or expired foods that a lot of people would be happy to still consume? Madame Frigo only accepts fruits and vegetables and too good to go is more for meals….
It should be around Aarau or Olten ideally. I visit Zurich or other bigger cities very rarely

Anybody used Madam Frigo and saw cans or canned meat / fish in there?
There’s no one that’s allowed to take or give away expired food
So it’s not good enough for you anymore but for somebody else? If you’re sure it’s still edible, then eat it yourself?
if they look “absolutely edible”, why not just use it yourself?
food is eather still good for human consumption, in which case why not eat it yourself, or not good for human consumption, in which case you should not give it away. there’s not really an inbetween.
[RestEssBar](https://restessbar.ch/standorte/restessbar-olten/) in Olten gives away food that can’t be sold anymore. You can also bring your food there (with some restrictions so it’s probably best to e-mail them before showing up).

Die folgenden Lebensmittel sind im Kühlschrank erlaubt: Obst und Gemüse, Brot. Ausserdem verschlossene Produkte, die höchstens das Mindesthaltbarkeitsdatum, nicht aber das Verbrauchsdatum erreicht haben.
Nicht erlaubt sind Fleisch oder Fisch, Alkohol sowie bereits geöffnete oder verarbeitete (z.B. gekochte) Produkte.
There are 2 fridges: Telli / Markthalle.
Also we got “Tischlein deck dich” but they already got plenty of stuff they get – even Zweifelchips and leftovers from bigger companys, pretty insane which waste we got on food.
