The reenactment scene in Belgium is bigger than you think

The reenactment and living history scene in Belgium is surprisingly active! Dozens of groups bring history to life, from Roman legions to WWII encampments. But the scene is largely unknown to the general public, and one reason is the lack of a central, searchable calendar of all events.

I wanted to try to change that. Over the past few months I have been working on a free multilingual site where everyone can add and discover reenactment and living history events. For all periods and all types, in Belgium and the region.

The site is still under development, but everything works and is online. Do you know of any events that are not yet listed? It would be great if you could add that and share the site with people who are interested. Feedback is more than welcome anyway!

The reenactment and living history scene in Belgium is surprisingly active. Dozens of groups bring history to life, from Roman legions to World War II encampments. However, it remains largely unknown to the general public, notably due to the lack of a centralized calendar bringing together events.

This is what I wanted to change. In recent months, I have been working on a free multilingual site where everyone can add and discover reenactment and living history events, all periods and all types, in Belgium and neighboring countries.
