According to RRT, most complaints were over Facebook and Vinted platforms.

The Authority said in a statement that 26 complaints were linked to service providers established in Lithuania, while the rest were about online platforms operating abroad.

Lithuanian consumers mostly reported online platforms operating in Ireland (17), the Netherlands (5) and Germany (3). 11 complaints were received regarding Facebook and 11 concerning Vinted.

According to the RRT, most reports were about account suspension or blocking procedures, as well as about the platforms’ internal complaint-handling systems not working properly.

In 2025, Lithuanian authorities issued approximately 1,200 notices and mandatory orders to major online platforms regarding the removal of illegal content.

Most notices were issued to Facebook (924), X (212), Instagram (22) and TikTok (12).

The authority also noted that although it did not receive any applications last year to become an out‑of‑court dispute resolution body, yet such a mechanism is an alternative and convenient way to resolve disputes with online platforms.
