That’s some of the most shithouse legal reasoning I’ve ever come across. ‘But what about his health?’ Who gives a shit about his health. He raped a fucking child

  2. Ok-Gazelle-4572 on

The bias is so obvious. Like what even goes through these people mind reinstating a man as vile as him?

  3. What. The. Actual. Fuck?

    Is his name “Donald Trump”?

Cunt should be in gaol, not roaming on a visa.

Any judge or tribunal defending this filth needs to be investigated and stripped of power

Damn. There’s not even a real justification. This is just a case of the Australian legal system, and the home affairs minister, actively avoiding using the powers they most definitely have so that they can protect a pedophile.

  6. The letter from the minister made my blood boil. Doesn’t want to admit he made a bad call so the victims can just lump it cause “the minister decides”.

He was only sentenced to 14 months for sexually assaulting a 9 year old girl. 14 months for trauma that she (and the other child who was forced to witness the event) will have to live with forever. This is another instance of victims not getting justice in this wretched system.

People with more melanin and different names face harsher penalties for far less. Why should we care about his health and connection to this country? Is this really in the nations interest? Such a clear double standard.

He shows no remorse, says he “can’t remember it”. Fuck off. And the fucking picture of him on a swing. I really shouldn’t expect better from the abc at this point.

Only 14 months for sexually abusing the girl in the presence of another young child?.

    Deport

  9. AggravatedKangaroo on

How many times does this need to happen, where someone gets off, or has a reduced sentence, or has an easy run after molesting a child, before people start to see there is something very wrong with the system we currently use?

You can go to jail for longer for financial crimes to the ATO than you can for ruining a child for life.

all those people that use to claim government officials and members of the courts were in on child molestation and cp, now seem to be the ones who were right, from the beginning.

He doesn’t remember the incident but he’s not a risk to society..huh? Well, I guess not all society, just young children – I want to be sick.

People who have been here since childhood (but never applied for Aus citizenship) have been deported back to the UK for violent crime and drug offences.

Seems mental that a child sex offender who isn’t an Australian citizen has been shown such leniency

Hold up, not only was his visa reinstated but he only got *14 months* for abusing a 9 year old girl?

Great so the victim is denied justice and he gets to come back and f over the next persons life. Great job legal system. How’s that “rehabilitation” going?

    >The Australian community would expect his visa would remain cancelled,” she said in her decision.

    >”Weighed against this he has very strong ties to this country and faces significant impediments if removed, including due to his advanced age and ill health.”

    >Ms Burford said the tribunal was “satisfied” that the latter factors “outweighed” the former.

I guess the needs of the many don’t outweigh the needs of the one for these unelected bureaucrats.

  14. Whitekidwith3nipples on

someone start a petition to have tony burke immediately removed from his position as home affairs minister. the only way these corrupt cunts learn is the hard way.

  15. >ART documents obtained by the ABC showed he contended that he had strong ties to Australia and did “not represent an unacceptable risk to the Australian community”.

make this animal live next to the kids of the tribunal members who made this decision since pinning a 9yo girl down and molesting her in the presence of another kid did not represent an unacceptable risk to the Australian community

  16. There is a serious problem with our legal system. We should never fight to keep serial pedophiles within our country, I don’t care how many friends or family they have here. Rape children -> GTFO, and never return.

  17. This ART visa appeals panel is an absolute joke and needs completely reforming/filling with serious judges, not these administrators. How often does it make ridiculous decisions like this. It’s why after every visa cancellation or denial, the applicant applies to have it reviewed by these idiots. They know it’ll take years to get to during which they can stay in Australia and then eventually when it does get there, it’ll get overturned.

I hate that we live in a society where this is tolerated.

I hate that the father of the abused child would be punished more harshly if he had bashed the paedophile than the paedophile himself. Apparently it’s worse to hurt a pedo than a kid?

  19. As another Brit who spent thousands to get various visas here and managed to live for decades in Australia without molesting anyone, robbing a bank or committing murder, this really fucks me off. It’s not as though they would be deporting him to warn-torn Syria.

  20. The rich get away with anything lol because this sparks a brief outrage but then nothing really ever happens

  21. Revolutionary-Mark46 on

Probably some pedo judge getting off on the story and going easy on him. As if we don’t know what the elite are all about these days.

  22. Thomas-D-FunkEngine on

So much corruption and degeneracy at the top, pedos protecting other pedos

  23. throwaway012984576 on

Friendly reminder that China kills these animals. Someone send him on a holiday.

  24. I can’t even say here what I think should happen to people of his ilk, but I know he has probably ruined those children’s lives forever by his actions. Anyone who has known someone who was abused as a child knows that the trauma does not leave them.

  25. Bounded_Rationality on

F up his life for the couple of short years he’s got left vs him potentially having F’d up some poor child’s life for many more decades after what he did? Why was this even something to consider? He should have been driven straight to the airport and given a 1-way ticket (or the nearest beach and given a small dinghy).
