Parliament members make the most of the opportunity to have assistants, lists of names emerge

Around 75 members of the Kosovo Assembly in the tenth legislature have exercised their right to have personal assistants. More than half of the Vetëvendosje Movement members of parliament now have senior personal assistants, 15 out of 22 from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) have exercised their right, five out of 14 members of the Democratic League of Kosovo have assistants, and five from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK).
In the list published by Insajderi, names such as Rozeta Hajdari, Agim Bahtiri, Adriana Matoshi, Egzon Azemi, Taulant Kelmendi and Valon Ramadani from the Vetëvendosje Movement have received personal assistants.
Meanwhile, in the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, Enver Hoxhaj, Arian Tahiri, Rrahman Rama, Ganimete Musliu, Sala Jashari and others have used the right to assistants.
In the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, Lutfi Haziri, Hykmete Bajrami, Fadil Hadërgjonaj and Janina Ymeri have engaged assistants in the Assembly.
The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) with assistants in this nomenclature are: Ramush Haradinaj, Time Kadrijaj, Besnik Tahiri, Daut Haradinaj and Bekë Berisha.


The Kosovo Assembly has announced to Insajderi that the list of senior personal officials of engaged MPs is up to March 31 of this year.
The salary of an assistant, with allowances and per diem, can go up to 900 euros gross.
The engagement of assistants is based on Regulation No. 08/Rr-004 on Supplements to the Basic Salary for Deputies and on the Classification of Salary for Political Support Staff of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
