THIENSVILLE — Downtown Thiensville is celebrating 40 years of community, commerce and connection, and will also have a few surprises in store for 2026.

Established in 1986 as the Thiensville Business Association, the organization spent three decades supporting businesses, giving them a voice at Village Hall and shaping Thiensville into the business-friendly municipality it is today, according to a Downtown Thiensville press release.

Over the last nine years they have introduced and built community-minded events, adapting to the community’s wants and needs to offer programming that welcomes families, businesses and the surrounding communities to celebrate all things Thiensville.

That includes building on the Farmers Market and music-inspired Eats and Beats and BluesFest, or introducing new, signature events such as The Village Table, KidsFest, Nightmare on Elm Street, and last year’s first-ever Cookie Walk.

“Reaching 40 years is an incredible milestone for our organization and our community,” Downtown Thiensville Executive Director Traci Cain said. “Downtown Thiensville has always been about bringing people together, whether that’s through shopping local, gathering for events or simply enjoying the charm of our village. We’re excited to celebrate this legacy with enhanced programming and new elements added to our events that will make them even more memorable.”
