  1. Well, I guess pumping all this money into Poland finally pays off? Wasn’t exactly this the desired outcome – for Poland to catch up and become a wealthy trading partner?

  2. By trade, you mean German companies exporting stuff to Poland, assembling stuff for cheap, and importing it back to Germany

    Indeed i (german) buy a lot more stuff from poland these days than from france…. better quality, more options.

    To be honest, i never expected this 20 years ago, when polish products have been bad mostly, still sowjet style and quality before they joined EU.

    Also brexit. Most UK business moved to PL because EU. Its a cultural thing: lots of polish immigrants in UK and their ties to their roots facilitated mentioned above process.

    Considering that we manufacture bajilion car parts for them i am shocked we arent higher than them already

    Well they took a lot of German industry due to their weaker currency so it makes sense

    France has never been Germany’s first trading partner anyway, their partnership is above all political and symbolic.
