Logistics operator consolidates depot charging to support growing electric delivery fleet.

DHL Express Norway has moved to optimize the operation of its electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure by consolidating its charging network onto a single management platform, supporting the continued electrification of its delivery fleet.

As part of the initiative, DHL Express Norway partnered with Spirii, an e-mobility services provider, to centralise the management of charging across its depots. The transition brings infrastructure monitoring, billing, access management and day‑to‑day operations under one system, designed to meet the demands of a logistics operation that relies on dependable, daily vehicle charging.

Roaming functionality has also been integrated, allowing DHL drivers to locate and use public charging stations along their routes using either RFID cards or a mobile charging app, extending charging access beyond depot locations.

“Migrating a charging network of our complexity requires trust, transparency, and operational precision. Together with Spirii, we ensured a stable transition with no impact on our day-to-day deliveries, while establishing a robust charging setup that supports both our current operations and future electrification plans,” said Terje Aarbog, Managing Director of DHL Express Norway.

The move reflects DHL Express Norway’s broader push to electrify its fleet, ensuring that charging infrastructure evolves in step with the company’s sustainability goals and operational requirements.
