Without Ukraine, europe would struggle hard against russia , in supporting UA, we see , how weak the russian army is and how far modern warfare gets. Türkiye has an important Role in drone manifacturing and UA is kinda a Test ground for weapons, which alot got tested with success… now its time for the rest of Europe to improve their armies to have something standing and experienced in dronewarfare and its defense.

  2. Ukraine and Türkiye are very valuable partners in every way, culturally and economically, and we want them on our side.

But make no mistake, nobody wins a conventional war against a united Europe, with or without them.

The only way to defeat Europe is to divide it politically, i.e. what Putin and Trump are trying to do.

he is partly right, but his angle is really to frame a place for Ukraine in Europe.

the reserve pool, industrial capacities and military build up of other countries adds up and ultimately we do not want an army like Russia because the way Russia fights is horrible for its soldiers.

We don’t need an army similar to Russia’s? We already have better ones.

The one field where Russia has a net advantage over Europe, drones, is also where Europe gets the most experience shared from Ukraine. This advantage is mitigated by shared exercises.

And that’s without considering the fact that drones are only as important as they are today in Ukraine because of the lack of air dominance on either side.

  5. That’s a silly very abstract argument. The rest of Europe, which has far, far more GDP and (at start of the war), far far more production capabilities would just ramp up a few more percent if it had to.

If Russia can’t defeat Ukraine, it would struggle to take a Country like Finland, never mind the rest of Europe.

I have so much respect for Ukraine. But we need to stop this BS that Russia could march on Paris if it wanted too.

  7. Ideally we’d see the back of Erdogan, but I do think it would be great to one day see greater Turkish integration into Europe. They already contribute quite effectively to NATO, and if they could overcome many of their current issues I think they could legitimately be an asset to the EU.

Turkey is still buying oil and gas from Russia, basically funding their war against Ukraine. You just can’t trust that bastard Erdoğan.
