Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, Glauk Konjufca, was hosted today by the Council on Albanian-American Relations. This was announced by Martin Vulaj from this Council. The latter added that during the meeting, strengthening strategic cooperation between Kosovo and the Albanian-American diaspora was discussed.

Furthermore, it is added that the Council has told Konjufca that their fundamental mandate is to deepen and expand relations between the Albanian people and the people of the United States, Gazeta Express reports.

“The meeting reaffirmed the importance of close coordination between institutions in Kosovo and the diaspora in the United States. By working together with clarity and purpose, we can better position Kosovo on the global stage and strengthen the bonds that unite our peoples,” the announcement said, among other things.

Post:

Today, the Albanian American Relations Council (AARC) was honored to host a productive working lunch with His Excellency Glauk Konjufca, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo. Our discussion focused on strengthening strategic cooperation between Kosovo and the Albanian-American diaspora, with an emphasis on aligning our shared objectives and advancing long-term national interests.

We conveyed to the Minister that the fundamental mandate of the AARC is to deepen and broaden the relationship between the Albanian people and the people of the United States. We also provided an overview of our ongoing initiatives and future objectives, including our efforts to support Kosovo’s path toward NATO membership and to promote increased trade and economic cooperation between our two countries.

The meeting reaffirmed the importance of close coordination between institutions in Kosovo and the diaspora in the United States. By working together with clarity and purpose, we can better position Kosovo on the global stage and strengthen the bonds that unite our peoples.

We thank Minister Konjufca for his time, commitment, and dedication to advancing Kosovo’s strategic interests.

But unlike Konjufca, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti acted last year. This is because Kurti refused to meet Vulaj, who had visited the region last year. Something for which Vulaj expressed disappointment.

“While we are disappointed that we did not have the opportunity to meet with him, especially given the global changes as well as those in Washington, we do not interpret this as something negative, given the intense post-election situation, the activities in Prekaz and our relatively short stay in Kosovo. We remain committed to working with all Kosovo institutions and all its stakeholders,” Vulaj concluded for The Express newspaper.
