Lithuanian representative for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, Lion Ceccah, has covered “Congratulations”.

Lion Ceccah has covered the song “Congratulations”, made famous by Cliff Richard, who in 1970 finished runner-up for the United Kingdom. “Congratulations” was an immediate hit, not only in the United Kingdom but across Europe. In the years since, the song remains one of the most popular Eurovision entries of all-time, and in 2005 was chosen as the lead song for a special 50th anniversary show, Congratulations: 50 Years of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Lion Ceccah was selected to represent Lithuania at Eurovision 2026 after winning Eurovizija.LT 2026. He finished second in the jury vote and first in the public vote. He will perform 12th in the first Semi-Final on Tuesday, 12 May.

Lithuania didn’t return to the contest until 1999 when Aiste finished 20th with the song “Strazdas”. Lithuania’s best result came in 2006 when LT United performed “We Are The Winners”. They finished 6th in the final with a total of 162 points. Lithuania has only finished in the top 10 on two other occasions: in 2016 with “I’ve Been Waiting For This Night” by Donny Montell and in 2021 with “Discoteque” by The Roop.
