  1. Masterchef starts soon and Coles needs the shelf space for their next promotion.

Not only is their Easter stock not selling, it’s taking up prime real estate. Coles would be of the opinion that this stock is now costing them money to be in their stores, but want people to pay to take out their trash for them.

The greed of these companies and the public push-back is absolutely deserved. Even at $1, not buying them means a total loss for their stock.

We only bought a few smaller eggs (for a hunt around the house) this year for our boy. Instead we put together a basket of Easter related arts and crafts…this worked out surprisingly well, and was far cheaper!

  3. Like honestly Coles…. Just donate them! Oh and also, which Coles is this at? lol.

Damn…. I thought picking up 4 of them yesterday at $5 each was good. You sir, have won my acclaim.

I am still not buying it, out of principle! And I love Lindt chocolate. Coles is making massive profits whilst we are over a barrel to pay their overinflated prices for shit we need let alone chocolate for the kids. Coles can EAD

Could someone spare the time and make a before after price comparison? You when those were $28 or $40, I cannot recall how extravagant the prices were.

I saw yesterday, they were $3, I wonder what their full price was, does anyone know?

Buy them at $1, melt them down and use them for baking cakes and slices. Better than compound chocolate

No supermarkets near me have any eggs left. They were sold out by Easter. Where are all these Coles with cheap eggs still left??

  10. $1 Lindt bunnies are good, but someone hasn’t done the maths on Cadbury eggs – some of them are still higher unit price than a regular block of chocolate. Given Easter has past an egg is now the worst way of consuming chocolateΒ

  11. we just go to the ringwood cadbury outlet a week before easter they mark down everything 30% off which is damn cheap because their normal prices are about 50% of retail

I drove past a Woolies back dock yesterday and saw a manager throwing trays upon trays of gold Lindt Easter bunnies in the bin. Absolutely tragic.
