      This video, like many before it, makes me think about how much the context of military engagements influences public perception in the US. If this *exact* video existed, if this *exact* engagement occurred, but within the context of an official American military action, it would be front page news for months, these soldiers would be household names, and there would be several bestsellers and an oscar dominating film made about it. But as it stands, 99% of Americans will never even know this happened, and it won’t be written about in mainstream media beyond a few clickbait AI slop articles. These men are the actual embodiment what a lot of US veterans want to be seen as. Risking life and limb for a just cause, without overwhelming air support, or any at all as it seems.

      it seems the video is now private. YouTube doesn’t like alot of things these days and tends to remove alot of it so I suspect it was flagged by the ai overlord there. It is quite unfortunate for people who are interested in conflicts and history ect are no longer able to find all of the raw information and footages from one of if not the biggest video platform in the world like we once did before until everyone got too soft for reality. That is one of the main reasons I started coming to reddit, as YouTube began to remove and prevent so many things for any ole reason I started looking for somewhere that I could find actual historical/archival footage and information of various events that isn’t being heavily censored for the smallest things
