Hey i need help to explain this haircut to my barber auf Deutsch. There‘s only türkisch barbershop in my place and i have difficulty to explain the haircut i want because they only know typical german/türkisch haircut and not the modern haircut even if i showed them the picture.

I want the back side to have such length and textured so i can style it but the bottom part need to be short and neat. For the side part i would like it to be low tapered. Top part – i have typical asian hair with straight and flat 2a type so, i want it to be textured and trim. Not to be excessively cut!! ( happened most of the time). I have M shaped hairline but not too obvious. I want the barber to take note of this so he doesn’t cut it too short.

Of course i still will show the barber the picture. But to avoid misunderstatement, i want to explain what i want as clear as possible.

And… or should i try to go to Friseur?? Where does germans go for haircut?

Some of them understand words like taper. Honestly tho, most barber shops are one trick ponies. This was done by a proper barber/hair dresser or whatever the word is. Friseur would work I guess. Younger people open Friseur salons and call them barber shops still..
Better to go to a real hair salon, either way, showing this photo will be the safest option of them getting the idea. I would avoid the average Turkish barber shop for something like this

It would be helpful if you say in which city you live. Maybe we could recommend you a Friseur

    3. I’d go to a Friseur-Meister (or at least a trained Friseur) for this cut and not a Barbershop.

    4. Try a higher end barber, the kind that charges over 25 euro for the cut.  The cheaper the cut the more it’s 4mm sides and broccoli on top.

    5. Would also be interested to learn the German words 🙂 But I can tell you at a German salon that would be a Vokuhila

    6. I use a small„Friseur“ – just three ladies, you get an appointment but they know what they are doing.
I doubt that all of these barbershop are professionals.
There were many reports that some lacked hygienic standards and spread skin diseases.

Nevertheless there are qualified shops, but some just offer machine cut – so much for that topic.

A qualified Friseur will tell you if that cut suits you and what the options are.

      A. Show them the picture

      B. Find a salon whose work you like first. If they don’t cut in a way you like, explaining will do quite little if they don’t know how to achieve the look you want.

    8. please go to a Friseur(-Meister), because as other people had already said, most turkish barbershops are only familiar with the “typical” youth haircuts and will most likely not get it he way you want, not because they can’t but because they won’t understand you correctly, especially since you don’t even speak german to begin with (no front, i just mean if you won’t even be able to explain in it german, there’s now way they will get what you are saying in english or any other language that isn’t their native one)

    9. I regularly make the mistake of going to different barbers and even if I explain the same, the result is always different. And I want something muuuch simpler.

      Go with Foto + Friseur.

    10. Don’t know what’s so difficult about that cut. I had a similar cut years ago and I would do the sides by myself with a Panasonic ER1611. Show him this picture and tell him you want exactly that. It’s a mullet btw

    11. Don’t go to a Turkish barber. Most of them only do (basically) one haircut.
Find a good Friseursalon first, then they should know what to do if you tell them you want a mullet or whatever this cut is called. Most cuts (as far as I know) don’t have German names.
Just went to get my hair cut yesterday and told them I was thinking about a mod cut. And they were like „omg don’t say more! Yessss! 😍“

    12. Thanks for sharing the „before“ haircut picture, maybe it would be more helpful to share a picture how it should look like after you got cut?

    13. >because they only know typical german/türkisch haircut

This IS the typical German haircut for young adults in 2026 😅 at least if you live in a larger city…Honestly, you should go to a regular Friseur tho

    14. Please Go to a normal Friseur. Barbershops usually only can do the Same 3 haircuts.
My Friseur ist Like 40 bucks a Haircut but they do all I want and It Looks great
