sometimes i need to travel with a folding camping chair because i need it at work and if the trains are full i just sit on it and people look at me like im literally patrick bateman.

One time a friend of mine had to move out quickly and all we could rustle up were two regular cars, no van to be had. So after we had moved everything we could fit into the cars, we ended up on the Ringbahn with a couch, an armchair and a kitchen table. We also had a case of beer for the helpers and a deck of cards. We got some very fun looks that evening.
Once transported a chair via public transport, too. Best waiting experience of my life.

We have been transporting a whole couch/sofa in the U-Bahn (subway) in Frankfurt as well. Sure, many people were amused but some happily joined us and just had a fun ride till we had to get off.
Yes we also sat on it in the train and while waiting for it, so perfectly normal behavior.

This is so beautiful. I can understand. For some reason I also loved the train stations in Hamburg I felt so peaceful and didn’t get bored waiting or irritated when it was so cold. Love Germany a lot and I wish I can go back soon 🩷 beautiful country and beautiful people 🥲 🩷
