Denmark based European Energy has partnered with Twig for the Stouby solar park upgrade in Denmark. The existing 88 MW solar plant in Randers Municipality will be enhanced with a 28 MW / 112 MWh battery system. The upgrade will convert the facility into a hybrid solar asset with storage. The battery will store excess solar generation and release electricity during peak demand periods. Twig will serve as balance responsible party for the solar facility. The company will manage forecasting and market participation for solar output. The hybrid configuration is expected to improve solar generation utilisation.
