Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Trump is about to become a lame duck president in November. Let’s not burn all bridges before that.

    >‘The US is no longer an ally’

I’d go further and say that the Trump Administrations aggressive attempts of undermining European sovereignty as well as massive attempts to influence elections are on par with the plays Russia and China makes, and therefore they are an active adversary.

We are, thankfully, not in the hot phase, but by all accounts Trump wishes to break the EU up and gobble up the pieces, or put under control of his European sycophants and corporations.

Our democracies and way of life is under attack.

Ironically, Trump is best thing could happen to EU and wider democratic world. He exposed entire agenda and speedrun change amongst real allies to build something better than we have

I hope they remove trump administration soon because I still want US to be allies… Not an ally atm obviously… But there’s still hope. Though I hope Europe ramps up military and defenses as to not rely on US in the long run

  5. >followed by an advert for a “gala luncheon” at Mar-a-Lago, the president of the United States threatened to commit a genocide in Iran. “A whole civilisation will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” he wrote on his social media network, Truth Social. “I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will.”

That the president of a democratic, ostensibly liberal, in the broad sense of that term, society can utter a sentence like this and is not immediately removed from office is just insane. When will we dare to spell the fucking truth? The USA is an **enemy** to a united Europe. They want nothing less than the complete dissolution of the EU, and no alternative to it but separate nation-states.

An ideological enemy for the time being, but who can really tell when they will decide to use military force? It’s literally one ~~man’s~~ toddler’s decision away. Greenland or otherwise, it could happen literally tomorrow morning

so is this going to be another UN that doesn’t have any bite? Or will everyone be spending 30% of their gdp on the military

And yet our absolute coward in Germany continues to bootlick trump at every opportunity

  9. The American people are allies, their government isn’t. We can ignore them and do our own thing without burning bridges.

People in other countries are manipulated too. UK voted for Brexit and many European countries vote idiots into their government. They just can’t do that much damage, because they have limited influence in the world.

This is meaningless BS rhetoric unless you supine mollycoddlers stop expecting and going along with the “good cop bad cop” routine the yanks play. No more “the next prez will make amends”. Fuck that shite.

Both liberal and conservative yanks are awful and we need to sever all ties, forever. None of this pussy temporary bullshit.

Out out out and disown their bases here. All of them.

Hey someone who knows better: political speechs don’t match the reality of the performance of the alliance

I can only hope to see us be on better terms after Trump, this is genuinely sad to see

A third of Americans are zombies and support this admin. A third are clueless and see nothing wrong or are a-political. And a third are terrified of what is happening here. It is not a good situation for the world. The EU, Canada, and Mexico need to run from the USA. It is a minority that have control but it is almost total control of every important lever of government.

  14. Please give us a bit of time to vote him out. Look what happened Hungary today! But plan ahead anyway for the worst.

  15. We will only know if the US is still an ally if those guilty of attempting to destroy the NATO and the US/European alliances are tried for treason. Either by the Democrats or some other group. Don’t forget, the number 1 objective of the Global Mafia Elite is to end said alliances.

  16. Realistic_Let3239 on

Trump has been threatening to invade NATO allies for like two years, mainly Canada and Greenland. He has referred to the UK/France as national security threats. Him and his cronies have been interfering in European elections, funding opposition parties etc. Heck he declared America doesn’t need no allies. Then there’s the endless threats, trade wars etc, because bullying is the only way he knows how to negotiate. Heck he’s done more to help Russia than Europe.

America under Trump isn’t an ally, It’s an active enemy who tries to use force to get its former allies to accept the abuse.

I don’t know why Europeans or why Americans and other North American leaders don’t just say it. He’s an asset of a foreign government (relative to the United States) and who keeps acting in his handlers country’s best interest.

I’m just so surprised the US has slow walked this outcome . One ***expletive*** president wrecks the entire world we all relied and depended on.

I’m just so sorry this happened

  18. As an AmericanI didn’t vote for him, but i’m sorry :C I don’t blame you guys if you have animosity or dislike towards us. Many Americans truly don’t understand the value our alliances had.

  19. Standard-Contest-949 on

Yup and that goes for every country. America you are the worst right now. Well maybe Russia still is the worst. But America you are a very close second and that says a lot!
