Hello. My roommate has been getting more daring with her aggression, recently whe started being subtly physical. She would slam the doors of devices (washing mashine, oven, drawers, dish washer) on my leg instead of asking me to move. Today, she did it on my knee and it hurt + got a small red mark. I yelled at her, and she taunted me, to which I responded by getting angry out of my mind and yelling until both of our ears rang. I asked my landlord(lady?) for asistance, and she said I am alone on this. I’m thinking about going to thw police tomorrow. What is likely to happen?. She now knows that she can cause me body injury and get away with it.

Attached is the mark she caused. Again it’s small, I’m mostly just scared of escalation.

    P.S: we’re both Ausländer.

I don’t know about the police, but I would start avoid being at the same room at the same time with her. Also, start looking for another WG to stay in if you think what she’s doing is intentional.

    2. report it either way, if you can get it recorded (secretly that is) it might help. If she damages anything you can probably get the landlord to kick her out because suddenly he or she might care about it.

    3. Just record some evidence before going to police if you’re genuinely a victim. This mark will more likely disappear till tomorrow

Looks like a zit, the police won’t care.

Lashing out and reacting emotionally isn’t the right move. Disengage, ignore and look for another WG, let her make somebody else miserable.

      God bless

    5. yeah you should definitely go to the police. it doesn’t matter that you’re both foreigners, the police should (ik ideally) treat you just like anyone else.

How’s the relationships regarding rent. are you on a shared lease or are you both just renting a room. Are you renting out a room to her?

depending on that it might be possible to kick her out. police might also remove her from the premises for being violent

    6. You can go to the police but think of a goal to tell them what you want them to do. Do you want yo get out of the house and need their help? Are you expecting them to kick her out of the house- it won’t happen so easily if she’s registered there. Maybe they remove her temporarily for a couple of weeks to give you time to figure out what to do. They will not arrest her or anything like that. They can’t really change her behaviour either. They may come abd warn her if that helps.

It’s just not sustainable to live sith such a person so find a way to get out of there.

    7. What nationality is she? (Not to discriminate anyone) or what continent? Asking cause some specific ones popped on my mind

….are the two of you maybe 8 y.o.?

This reads incredibly incomplete and weird. Either write a proper post, explaining the living situation, what happened, who did what or don’t expect anything here.

As you could both be insane, she could be wrong, both could be wrong or so on.

Edit: Guess she was 8. Jesus. First the fake, post then insults and now she deletes everything. Dafuq.

    9. This is serious. Don’t escalate to agitate her so you are safe but don’t underestimate this. Try to stay away from her. Share your location with a trusted friend if you can and mention the situation at home. Always text a friend if the situation is escalating. Go to your Hausartz and mention the situation as well as the police. There is Traumaambulanz and Krisendienst for situations like this. If you feel unsafe at home and you don’t have a friend to go, you can call and go to these places. Have a bag to pick and leave urgently when needed. In the meantime, look for a new WG and move out as soon as possible. I hope you are safe and I hope the worst for your roommate because fck these people with anger management issues.

Get outta there ASAP. How long until its not the washing machine door but a knife? Mental illness is no joke.
