Magyar gives indications that he will expel Nikola Gruevski from Hungary: We will not be a dumping ground for criminals

Meanwhile, future Hungarian presidential candidate Peter Magyar warned of the deportation of former Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski.
At a press conference, Magyar, asked by reporters about two former Polish ministers, wanted for corruption by the new Polish government, who found refuge and received asylum in Hungary, said that they, including Gruevski, will not stay in Hungary for long.
“Hungary will not become a dumping ground for internationally wanted criminals. This applies not only to former Polish ministers, but also to Nikola Gruevski. After all, he is the former prime minister of North Macedonia and a wanted criminal,” Magyar said.
Former Prime Minister Gruevski has been on the run since 2018, when he was sentenced to 2 years in prison following the final verdict in the “Tank” case. Gruevski was granted asylum in Hungary based on allegations that he was politically persecuted by then-Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.
In 2019, Hungary officially rejected North Macedonia’s extradition request. /Alsat/
