Hanwha Aerospace hosted envoys from 30 member states of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) on Tuesday, presenting its global defense capabilities and outlining a broader vision for security cooperation with Europe.

The company said it invited the diplomatic delegation to its headquarters for a “Hanwha-NATO PermReps Strategic Dialogue,” where it reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening partnerships with NATO allies. Nearly all of the alliance’s 32 member states were represented at the event.

Hanwha Aerospace introduced its key defense portfolio, including the K9 self-propelled howitzer, the Chunmoo multiple launch rocket system, manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T) systems, unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), drones and satellite technologies. The company also highlighted potential contributions to future security environments.

Beyond defense capabilities, Hanwha Aerospace emphasized its localization strategy aimed at supporting European economies. The company is actively expanding its footprint in the region through local production and partnerships.

“Through this visit, we aim to further deepen defense cooperation with NATO allies and continue contributing to strengthening the alliance’s defense capabilities,” said Son Jae-il, chief executive officer of Hanwha Aerospace.

As part of its European expansion, Hanwha Aerospace has begun construction of its “H-ACE Europe” production facility in Romania and is establishing a local production system for Chunmoo guided missiles in Poland through a joint venture.

The company has already supplied the K9 howitzer to six NATO member states, including Finland and Romania, and exported the Chunmoo system to countries such as Poland, Estonia and Norway, steadily broadening its strategic cooperation across the alliance.
