Why is Britain so cold in June? Temperatures this month are at HALF the level of 2023 – and it won’t get much warmer any time soon, Met Office warns

We broke the Jet Stream and it’s messing up the weather.
The temperatures are HALF those of last year because we had a heatwave in June 2023 and this June has so far been colder than average.
It’s not like 15° is half the usual June temperature.
Look its a bit shit but thats part of living here. You fucks have never lived somewhere geninely hot or cold. I have. There is nothing fun about 42 degrees and yearly hurricanes.
You have to wear a jacket sometimes. Its fine, you will be okay.
I, for one, am happy at this prospect. Anything above 20 gets uncomfortable
It’s cooler because it’s raining. It’s raining because it’s cloudy. It’s cloudy because there’s a lot of water evaporating from our recently warmer oceans. It’s not just here either, there seems to be a lot of rain and flooding in different parts of the world lately. Its circulatory systems will change course at some point then we can all expect abruptly different weather everywhere.
Daily Mail: it’s cold therefore what climate change? 🙃
I’m not clicking the link and funding the Waily Fail, but I guess that they are blaming Keir Starmer?
as long as it’s sunny i don’t need 20+ degrees weather
I love that the idiots who were elated that global warming would mean them getting hotter summers and didn’t care about the environment are now annoyed about increased rainfall
And once again I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. Been reasonably sunny and minimum of 17C for the last 6 weeks or so in the south west, which is not only not half the temperature of last years heat wave, but is far from “cold”.
I can count on one hand the amount of rainy days we’ve had since the end of April. It has so far been a fairly typical May and June.
Gee I can’t imagine why we’re stuck with normal British weather, and not the abnormalities.
Stratospheric aerosol injections and cloud seeding
As the planet warms, warmer air moves north forcing the jet stream from its usual position. As the planet warms further the jet stream will move more. This will change our weather systems dramatically.
The following link explains it better than I ever could
https://www.rmets.org/metmatters/jet-stream-and-stormy-weather
Heat on other side of planet disturbing the polar vortex and pushing it our way as the jet meanders
The weather has been dreadful for months, in fact last summer ended early too
Would people rather it be 35+ like last year or worse the year before?
😪 supposed to be hillwalking season 😂 rubbish it’s still not warm 😭
Half? Well, it was 30c last year, and absolute zero is about -270c, that means it’s about -150c outside.
Why are people so shocked we’re having an average summer?
Personally I’m absolutely buzzing we’ve went an entire year without a heat wave and we can stop the boring “warmest summer, so far 🤡” nonsense.
Enjoy it.
