Lufthansa-employed pilots will strike nationwide in Germany on April 16-17, causing widespread flight cancellations. The Vereinigung Cockpit union organized the strike which will significantly affect the Lufthansa airline and its subsidiaries, CityLine and Eurowings Participants are demanding better working conditions and more robust pension infrastructure. This follows two earlier Lufthansa strikes in April, which caused short-notice flight delays and cancellations.
