I don’t know anything about the 15 yr old, but my assumption off the bat would be that this diplomats son, a grown man given housing and opportunities (from at least his family and connections), has had a different, more privileged upbringing/life than the child. Being black had nothing to do with his choices to deal drugs and kidnap a boy- his life of privilege did. He thought he could do it and get away with it.
Usually there is diplomatic leniency which is BS. Remember that drunk driver that fled? Im so tired of those in power getting away with stuff. I would not be surprised is this man’s family greased the right person.
