I recently visited my parents who are not long retired and have been slowly unpacking their 50-ish years worth of storage. They found my Expo 88 mascot plushie! I also had the little guy with the swimming uniform but he had been sacrificed to the mould gods.

Ah Expo 88, the thing that was going to put brisbane on the world map.
At least we got southbank out of it but I’m still sad we didn’t keep the monorail.
I have such great memories of Expo (I was only four though, so not heaps of memories!)! Love that it’s still in perfect condition 😊
