My family have several dogs and cats and my home is not a safe environment for this bird. I would absolutely take care of it if i could but it’s just too dangerous and stressful for it.
It’s definitely a pet and I need to take it to a rescue/vet/home. I’m sure someone is worried about their pet 😔
None of the vets and rescues around me can take it…
If you are or know someone that has experience with birds and/or can find its owner please let me know asap!!
📍 Found in Yennora.

That’s a female Eclectus – Definitely a pet as you say
Check your local Facebook groups, walk around your neighbourhood, without the bird though and see if anyones wandering around looking for it
Unlikely it’s flown very far from its home.
Post to Facebook groups:

“Lost and Found Pets Western Sydney”
Make sure to put Eclectus parrot in the post as people will use word searches.

Is the bird distribution system like the cat distribution system? Maybe you now have a bird?
Hey! Take her to the Small Animal Specialist Hospital, but the one in North Ryde only. They have an avian specialist team and could be able to help reunite her with her family they should admit her as a stray pet. Do not call ahead – just walk into their emergency and explain what happened.
I’d even contact pet stores or breeders that sell Eclectus parrots, because they may keep lists of people they have sold that type of bird to or keep records. they are not common house pets.
A vet in the eastern suburbs was missing a bird! Let me try to find details for you
Ask a vet to scan it for a microchip, even if they can’t take it.
These types of birds often have one.
If you’re unsure and desperate, I have owned birds, have a good cage and have taken a few strays in. Have either found their owner or a new home for them.

When people call you, ask them for a distinguishing mark. There are dodgy people out there.
Sorry couldn’t help w a place to put it, I have no experience w birds!
cute
Canley Heights vet specialise in birds. Perhaps call them and ask?
Definitely try the Facebook groups suggested and especially Parrot Alert. These are considered exotic pets and whoever owns it would have a special license and is probably distraught. Please keep us updated!!!
