A new version of the Komodo unmanned ground vehicle developed by Croatian company DOK-ING has been presented and tested at the Eugen Kvaternik Military Training Area, marking a significant step in Croatia’s defence technology capabilities.
The demonstration, organised with the support of the Croatian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Croatia, brought together military officials, defence industry representatives, and international partners.
Advanced unmanned system on display
The highlight of the presentation was the tracked MV-8 Komodo vehicle, unveiled in a new configuration equipped with the Skorpion2 mine-scattering system, developed by German company Dynamit Nobel Defence.

Tested for the first time in this configuration, the combined system represents a new-generation unmanned capability designed for counter-mobility operations.
According to developers, it is intended to disrupt, redirect, and block enemy mechanised units using dispersed anti-tank mines.

Modular design and future capabilities
The Komodo platform has been engineered as a versatile unmanned vehicle capable of integrating a wide range of military systems. It features a diesel-electric hybrid drive, high payload capacity, and an open architecture that allows for future upgrades, including increased autonomy.
This latest version marks the third configuration of the Komodo system. Previous variants include a model designed for operations in extreme chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) conditions, as well as a version equipped with a remote-controlled weapons station.
