
We all know Giornico for the stunning San Nicolao church. However, just a few meters away lies San Michele, a smaller, quieter place with a unique secret. While most Christian churches face East, this early medieval gem faces Southwest. Nobody knows exactly why. Plus, inside it holds a stunning Northern gothic altar from 1517.
