Lion Ceccah, who will represent Lithuania at Eurovision 2026, has met with the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs ahead of Eurovision 2026.

    Lion Ceccah met with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with two weeks to go until he leaves for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna, Austria. As part of the visit he met with a number of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was presented with the Lithuanian flag to take with him to Vienna. He commented:

    “We met with the MFA team, they gave me a flag, we talked about the Lithuanian diaspora and the support of Lithuanians abroad in the competition. Everyone is very kind and trying to help. Maybe we will come up with a joint initiative.”

    Lion Ceccah has been travelling across Europe over the past couple of weeks promoting his participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, having been to Oslo and Amsterdam to perform at pre-parties. He will leave for Eurovision 2026 on May 1, after his farewell concert on April 23.

    Lithuania in the Eurovision Song Contest+

    Lithuania debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994. However, their debut appearance saw Lithuania finish in last place with nul points. Lithuania didn’t return to the contest until 1999 when Aiste finished 20th with the song “Strazdas”. Lithuania’s best result came in 2006 when LT United performed “We Are The Winners”. They finished 6th in the final with a total of 162 points. Lithuania has only finished in the top 10 on two other occasions: in 2016 with “I’ve Been Waiting For This Night” by Donny Montell and in 2021 with “Discoteque” by The Roop.
