This is not meant to be a stupid question but do you think they will dye the river (i think it’s technically an estuary) for the olympics / is that even possible as a one-off time-focused hit?
For us who live here, the brown snake is ‘home’ but on the international stage? Unsightly.
I only really truly appreciated this on a recent trip to Sydney and how beautiful circular quay was and imagining how great it would be if we had that here.
Also, for older redditors, a second dumb question asked aloud – when Expo 88 was on – did the world’s media or exhibitors care or notice the brown as a detractor?
