Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has congratulated Rumen Radev following the results of Bulgaria’s snap parliamentary elections, expressing hope that the outcome will lead to greater political stability and stronger regional cooperation.

In a message published on social media after a phone conversation with the leader of “Progressive Bulgaria,” Vucic said he had personally conveyed his congratulations for what he described as an important electoral success.

“I expressed my congratulations on the achieved electoral result,” the Serbian president wrote, pointing to the significance of the vote not only for Bulgaria’s internal political situation, but also for the wider region.

According to Vucic, the election outcome creates conditions for more stable governance and economic development in Bulgaria, something he said would be beneficial for neighboring countries as well.

He emphasized that stronger political stability in Sofia could open new opportunities for cooperation between Serbia and Bulgaria, especially in areas linked to shared regional interests and good-neighborly relations.

Vucic also underlined that Belgrade remains committed to strengthening partnership ties across the Balkans and preserving regional stability, describing this as a key priority for Serbia.

The Serbian president said the future relationship between the two countries should continue to be built on mutual trust, practical cooperation and common strategic goals, particularly at a time when the region faces broader political and economic challenges.
