The Croatian government has adopted a new regulation on fuel prices, bringing reductions for both petrol and diesel from Tuesday.
At a closed session held on Monday, the government confirmed that the price of Eurosuper petrol will fall to €1.64 per litre, a decrease of two cents.
Diesel will see a more significant reduction, dropping by seven cents to €1.78 per litre.
Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said last week that he expects further decreases in fuel prices if current global trends continue. Speaking from Čakovec, he noted that markets had already reacted positively to the news, with oil prices beginning to decline, 24sata reported.
According to government estimates, the downward trend could extend beyond petrol and diesel to include blue diesel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), both for tanks and bottled supply.
Plenković emphasised that continued stability in the Strait of Hormuz and the persistence of the ceasefire would likely lead to further reductions in oil and fuel prices.
This, he said, would benefit the Croatian economy by supporting growth, ensuring supply security, and easing inflationary pressures.
