In a public poll for the “Latvian Coin of the Year 2025,” the silver collector’s coin “Flow” was selected, featuring characters from Oscar-winning animated film that has captured the hearts of people around the world, according to the Latvian Central Bank (Bank of Latvia).
In the public poll organized by the Bank of Latvia and the “Delfi.lv” portal, everyone had the opportunity to vote for the most outstanding collector’s coin issued in 2025 from March 31 to April 13. This year, the poll received nearly 29,000 votes, including nearly 12,000 votes for the “Flow” coin.
The Central Bank explained that the “Flow” collector’s coin, issued by the Bank of Latvia in December 2025, is special in that its graphic design was created by film director Gints Zilbalodis and animation artist Pēteris Tenisons working in tandem.
One side of the coin depicts the legendary dark-gray cat, while the other shows the five distinct characters.
Voters participated in a vote for a total of 15 coins from the collection.
