Why allow any Russians at all? Even if theyre not directly involved in the war in Ukraine, or hybrid war, espionage and sabotage within the EU, the vast majority support Putin and the war. The only thing that will hurt them is isolating them completely.

If we put aside the fact that it disincentivizes desertion, what about the people who were forced to participate either by being forced to sign contract or by directly being mobilized? I understand that it’s a minority but it’s a minority that has nowhere to go and no one to turn to.
