  1. This maps got to either be outdated or the west coast chinese are carrying. It feels like Canada has way more indian immigrants than chinese nowadays.

  2. This map uses inaccurate data. Based on the latest census in Canada, largest foreign born population is from India, followed by the Philippines and only then China. In 2016, it was the Philippines and then India.

  3. Notice how Venezuela and Colombia are mutual … those 2 countries will never go to war with each other

I initially read this as “largest foreign national in each American country” and I was very curious as to your source.

The only reason it’s Portugal for Brazil is because so many Brazilians are able to claim Portuguese Citizenship.

  6. Without a source, this is as accurate as Microsoft Paint. Is the source for Canada the last census of 2021? Or does it include the updated yearly immigration statistics, which makes it accurate up to 2024?

As of 2024, India is #1, followed by the Philippines at #2 and China was #3.

Gee, I wonder if immigration is a touchy subject that people would have an ulterior motive for living about? 🤔

Fun fact, Mexico has 53 consulates in the United States. That is more than any country has had in any other country.

The interconnections between the United States and Mexico is immense and it will only grow over time.

  8. Where are all the Chinese folks in Canada? I would’ve guessed South Asians.

  9. There are barely 5,000 Argentinians in Peru, and the Argentinians in Bolivia are Argentinians of Bolivian descent who are returning to their country of origin.

  10. Surprised that Venezuelans are moving to Haiti. I think I’ll rather stay in Venezuela.
