Looks like a dead bat to me, but my partner reckons it’s fake—might have to make a bet on it

Also, our mechanic just found some cables in my car chewed, so thinking there might be rats around too. Anyone in Trafalgar Apartments (or nearby) had similar issues with pests in the parking area?

Bats can’t fly from the ground. So it might just be sleeping. Try calling the injured wildlife number and someone should be able to give you instructions. They helped me with a micro bat I found on the floor.

There are amazing bat specialists that will come to you and check out the batty. Just look up bats QLD and their number should pop up!

If it’s been on the ground for over a week without changing position, friend, that’s a dead bat. A real one. Not a fake one. Who would make such a detailed fake and then just leave it in a carpark?

I used to see a micro bat or two after sunset at Redfern St Woolloongabba years ago.
