A few days ago, just before the cease-fire was about to expire and without an Iranian delegation betaking itself to Pakistan, U.S. President Donald Trump declared an indefinite extension of the truce in the Gulf. In practice, this meant a limited extension of three to five days, sources in the administration told Channel 12 News’ Barak Ravid. In other words, danger of the war’s renewal continues to loom; a deadlock in the talks could lead to a new eruption as early as next week.
