She just spent 10 days in zero G and is now back in 1 G on a rolling ocean. She’s trying so hard not to hurl and someone’s got a camera in her face for posterity. She’s going to kill her colleague and then barf on him.

more like you spent the last 4 days without a shower with four other people who haven’t showered for 4 days.
Meanwhile at any moment you may die because someone forgot to check on the volts/amps being pumped through a therminator that may or may not got the memo the volts/amps have changed

When I watched the arrivals on the ship (NASA live stream), I saw the photographer lining up these shots. With the sunset behind her and the heli she was on, I knew that it would be magnificent.
And it 100% is.
That is the face of someone who’s ‘came crashing back down to earth with a bump’; gravity is aching her weary bones, and she’s trying to decide if it’s a hot shower or a beer right at the top of her priority list. Thank goodness for people like her. An awesome human!
Wow. I look at this astronaut and I think wow. All the pictures she took, talking on the radio, using the restroom, all of the work she had to do. Just amazing!
