Hope this doesn’t break the rules here, but I feel compelled to inform more people about this matter.
Towards the end of the year, Google will continue to kick us in the ass, when they will ban all users of all Android devices from downloading software that doesn’t have their stamp of quality. In order to get such a stamp need "app developers" to register with Google, pay a fee and send them a picture of your ID.
Maybe I’m alone in that "sideload-a" a lot of apps on my phone, but with this Google is not only taking the hands of future Android device owners, but EVERYONE who owns a device right now.
What do you think about all this? Are we completely powerless against these technological giants who are constantly demanding more and more from us to increase the profits of shareholders (the line must go up)?

Tæknigeirinn virðist hafa verið að speedrunna sitt eigið fall með öllu þessu kjaftæði síðustu árin. Ég er alvarlega farinn að halda að framtíðin sé open-source allt, jailbreaks og sjóræningjasíður.
Ein af stóru ástæðum þess að fólk hefur hópast til tæknirisanna síðustu áratugi eru þægindi, þeir voru einfaldlega með hentugustu vöruna. Ef raunin verður sú að þeir verða meira vesen en þeir eru virði þá fer fólk eitthvert annað.
Mín bjartsýnisspá er að counter-culture í tækni muni hægt og rólega verða bara culture. Það er byrjað að gerast þar sem Linux er að öðlast meiri vinsældir og ég spái því að sú þróun muni halda áfram.
